Sometimes I have a hard time keeping up with the kids wanting what the other kids have and sometimes I don’t. The great thing is, when keeping them focused on what’s healthy becomes a challenge, I am pushed to create more yummy treats for them that are healthy but that also make them feel like they are not missing out.
Here is my latest…it will be included in my new cookbook for children, but thought you may like to try it out early. It was a big hit with both my own children and others from the neighborhood that gravitate towards my kitchen when hunger calls. Enjoy!

OMG everyone who eats Angela’s choc mint balls at my place loves them! My kids have NO idea they are healthy. What a find!
Hi Angela, I love all your recipes (especially the chocolate-based healthy treats!), however I have been ordered by my doctor to limit copper in my diet and this means no more cacao/cocoa (boo hoo). I understand that carob is much lower in copper – can I substitute carob for cacao in your recipes, or would you have any recipes that specifically use carob? Thanks in advance!
Hi Nat, thank you very much. I am glad you are enjoying my recipes. Yes you can definitely substitute carob powder. I personally prefer the dark to the lighter one. It is a bit closer in taste to chocolate. My deepest condolences to hear about you having to avoid chocolate and good luck with the carob!
