Cauliflower popcorn

Cauliflower Popcorn – a great savoury snack

I am on a mission at the moment to come up with savoury snacks for our family. The emphasis is always too much on the sweet and even if you use natural sweeteners, the more you eat, the more you will want. I had read about cauliflower popcorn before and not tried it because I have never been a big fan of cauliflower. I always ate it only because it is healthy. That’s not very fun.

Anyway, yesterday I decided to give this a go as we had a head of cauliflower in the fridge. I used the seasoning from my Cheesy popcorn recipe since I already had some mixed up. Fast is best at afternoon tea time.

I have to say it was DELICIOUS! The kids inhaled it too. As long as your children are not opposed to the idea of eating vegetables, if they will just try this, they are likely to love it. I wouldn’t say it was particularly crunchy but maybe that is because I only baked it for 40 minutes. I didn’t want it to burn. You could also cut the pieces larger and serve as a veg side dish at dinner.

Cauliflower Popcorn

This is a great savoury snack for the whole family. I have used the cheesy popcorn seasoning from my Vegan Cheesy Popcorn recipe. If you prefer you can use a variety of other flavours (eg pepper and salt, herb salt, herbs, salt and smoked paprika).Vegan Cheesy Popcorn recipe
